My May Day in Cerét.

There are many holidays in France during the month of May!

And I am now adding an extra one ... it is special to me, the day I was born so today is "My Day".

We celebrated yesterday with a most delicious lunch at L'Atelier de Fred.

It's Saturday so that means it's Market Day in Céret!

Some fresh leeks to make soup ...

Oh yes some melons with "jambon"! These are from Morocco, hoping we will be able to enjoy some from the local areas before we head home.

Some fresh asparagus, tomatoes and onions for our salad ...

Mammoth "garlic" ... Do we need some Monsieur Honey?".

Oh nasturtiums ... we will have to start some baskets from seed when we get home !

Oh how I miss my "Aqua- jogging" classes ...

A quick stop to find some reading material for Monsieur Honey  ... a couple of books to pack away for our sojourn in Provence.
A book by "Jeffrey Deaver" a newly discovered author that he enjoys reading and another new author to feed his appetite of reading!

Walk this way ... where are you taking me?

A perfect place for a coffee ...

"le Chien de Pascale"
9 rue Parayre (près du Musée) -  66400 Céret

A "salon de thé, bar à jus" ... the café features the works of individual artisans...

Here we met a most interesting young boy "Jonah" and his father ... "Jonah" has been living here since last August ... and this young fellow has been given the greatest opportunity.

They have moved here from England, and he is fully integrated into the French way of life, fully fluent in the language.

Oh yes ... I would love that lamp as a souvenir "Birthday gift" from Céret.

Cleaning up our square after all the market vendors have left ...

The light in the sky ... our apartment is called "Ciel Bleu" can you see why ... The sky is so blue!

Trying to show you how huge the plane trees are ... This is the base of one in Place d'Liberte.

Later in the evening ....

God is that you? The sky changed dramatically as the evening went on .... Is there a storm coming?

"My Day" in Céret was wonderful!
