Saturday we moved on from Villafranca del Bierzo to Leon (not a long distance in travel time).
We were able to check in early at our hotel FC Infantas before noon.
An afternoon of checking out the city, some retail therapy, refreshments followed by some rest and relaxation before heading out for a late dinner.
It seems in Spain ... The order of the evening is drinks and tapas (when we would normally have our supper) and dinner service begins around 8PM but actually later is better.
The Cathedral was a busy place today with many weddings taking place.
The streets and squares were lined with people everywhere you turned today.
Market day...
Two fiestas were also being celebrated ...
Señor Honey and I had come to the end of our clean clothes.
When we arrived in Leon we asked about a laundromat ... we were given directions to one not far from our Hotel.
Off we went with our bags of "dirty" laundry in hand and with good luck we found said place of business however it was not a "Self Service" laundromat and the owner was closing within an hour (1PM) and unable to do our wash.
Now what ... back to the hotel to see if it was possible to have it done in time by tomorrow morning ... after some discussion ... yes we can wash it but no ironing.
Okay good and it would ready before noon tomorrow.
But not thinking I had put all my clothes in the bags because we were going to wash them ourselves ... now I had nothing to wear for dinner that evening.
We found a great shop "Punta Roma" where Señor Honey picked out an ensemble for me.
Everywhere we turned there was the "Sunglass Man" ... Didn't even realize he was in the photo until after when I was downloading them off the chip.
Tomorrow we will find our way to Pamplona ... The yellow painted arrows were also on the streets in Leon directing the pilgrims.
It was a day of families, friends and tourists enjoying the festivities and sites of Leon.
