This will be my last postcards from Burgos, Spain ...
I know you are probably thinking so many from one destination ... there were so many things of interest to see here.
Plaza Mayor
The city has bronze statues everywhere you turn ...
Toro, toro!
"El CID" Rodrigos Díaz de Vivar ... a Castillian Nobleman, Military leader in Medieval Spain ...
He was a National hero. Born in 1043 ... Died July 10, 1099 ...his remains and that of his wife were moved and are now buried in the Cathedral in Burgos.
Modern Art? ...
Laundry day ... Solar clothes dryer in Burgos!
And if that was not enough ... all the beautiful green spaces, parks along the Arlanzon river! There are three square miles (1878 acres) of parks.
I read that there is one tree for every three inhabitants.
Hope you enjoyed the tour of the city!
