"A Hard Day's Night" of Travel!

#ToscaPizzeria#Toulouse#AmsterdamAirport#Tiramisu

We arrived safely and on schedule after a "Hard Day's Night" of travelling.

Our first stop Amsterdam Airport for a two hour layover...

The view over Toulouse as we approached the runway ...

We quickly collected our luggage (yes, thankfully it arrived) picked up our rental car and headed to our usual airport hotel.

Looking for a light supper we headed out only to discover a new Italian Pizzeria, where we enjoyed a great tasting pizza, a good Chianti (minus the fava beans) and the most delicious tiramisu we have ever tasted.

La Tosca Pizzeria was tastefully decorated and had a warm ambiance.

We liked it so much we are already talking about returning on our last night in Toulouse before our flight home.

Perfect thin crust ... Tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, olive oil and fresh basil which we watched the owner hand pick from the herb garden.

Tiramisu made by the owner's Italian wife ... Instead of the usual lady fingers/sponge cake she uses Speculoos cookies (a Belgian spice biscuit).

The following morning after a good night's sleep we headed to Spain ...

stay tuned for some Spanish Postcards!

On Our Way!

The long awaited day has arrived...

We are on the road, after a day of packing and making sure we have all our required travel documents.

First stop waiting in Woodstock for the Airbus pickup at 6 PM to Toronto International Airport...

Fast and safe travels with an early arrival at the airport before 7:30 PM ... easy checkin and security check.

Relaxing and enjoying comfortable seating, some nibbles and drinks in the KLM/ Air France Lounge ...
while waiting for our departure time at 10:50PM local time / 4:50AM in France.

If all goes well ... we will arrive in Toulouse 4:25PM tomorrow afternoon after a two hour layover in Amsterdam.

Monsieur Honey  hasn't stopped asking all day ... "Are we there yet?"

Do you think he is getting excited?

Changing My Front Door

#Frenchdoors#Santiago de Compostela#The Way#walking#birthdaymilestones

My personal odometer is turning over tomorrow ... as I start the next decade in my life!

You know the one that I have talked about quite a bit ... the one that my friend, Madame M. refers to as the "changing of my front door".

All the doors have their own character marks and colours.

I have given much thought to the changing of my personal front door ... and for me it involves being more physically active, my new love of walking and to achieve a personal goal of walking part of the Pilgramage route to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Oh yes, I have made some slight changes to my appearance ... a different hairstyle with some added colour highlights to give me a little sparkle and shine...just like a new coat of paint on your front door.

And I am happy to say that the walk on "The Way" has been scheduled into our travel itinerary for mid June.

And I am ready to embrace and welcome "The Changing of My Front Door"!
