Tiptoe through the Tulips and Beyond!

Recharged and refuelled from our delicious lunch, we continued our walk along the Quai du Louvre.

Our first stop the Louvre grounds, we wandered amongst the other travellers and tourists in awe of the architecture. Today, we did not visit inside the Museum that's on the agenda for another day ... as it is a gorgeous warm and sunny day!

I'll tell you more and share more photos from the Louvre once we have visited/toured inside the Museum.

The grounds and buildings are massive.

From here we "tiptoed through the tulips", no actually through the Jardin des Tuileries.

The park was busy with tourists and locals alike ... an amazing green space in such a large city!

It was in its' finest glory with the cherry and chestnut trees in full bloom.

Monsieur Honey had a front row seat to do some people watching and see the inner workings of the Park's maintenance department cutting the grass.

 Sorry wish you here!

Rest time was over, leaving behind the peacefulness of the Park and it was onward to ...
Place de la Concorde with the Arc de Triomphe in the background.

Place Vendôme ... where it would have been easy to support the European economy!

Are you tired yet?

We still have a distance to go to get back to our neighbourhood in the Marais.

We continued our stroll throughout Paris finishing our day with an apero at the corner Café just down the street from our apartment.

April in Paris (Cartes Postales de Paris)

We had no plan of action for our second day in Paris, so we just set off towards the Seine River.

And oh yes ... "April in Paris, chestnuts in blossom" ...
The chestnuts are in full bloom unlike our naked tree back home in Canada.

Spending time in Paris is like being a kid again in a "Candy Store", there are so many choices of wonderful places to see and things to do.

We wandered and wandered all day long!

My Fitbit recorded 16,270 steps, 10.4 kilometers and yes Monsieur Honey kept up with me.

Hotel de Ville

Notre Dame ... freshly cleaned and looking good as new ...

A saunter along the banks of the Seine River with wonderful views and stops at various vendors ...

Pont Neuf ...

Love locks ...

I think a sidewalk café is calling us for some lunch and refreshments before we continue our exploration.

Come back and join us for the rest of our day in the next post ...

A Glimpse of Day Two in Paris...

It was a busier day than expected, with many, many steps walking to view many sites ...

I'm more tired than I thought I would be and I'm ready for a good night's sleep.

I'll be writing and posting "postcards" very soon!

I captured over two-hundred picture "postcards"!

Stay tuned for many postcards from Paris...
