Wave Watching ...

#Waves#endlesshorizon#lifeisbetteratthebeach#Panamacitybeach

“Water has an endless horizon; there is no limitation when you look out into the water.

There's nothing to interfere with the mind's eye projecting itself as far as it can possibly imagine.

I suppose it's the same way people in the Midwest feel about watching amber waves of grain or endless rows of cornfields.

There is something exhilarating about it.”

Quote ... Billy Joel

We enjoyed a front row seat view of the beach and the Ocean waves while enjoying a "Happy Hour" Valentine toast on Saturday afternoon at "Waves" bar & grill ... located on the 1st Floor of the Tidewater Beach Resort.

Our unit is located on the eighth floor of this 31 floor Condo complex ... all units have ocean views.

This bird is thinking about surfing ...

The view from our balcony looking east to the pier...

Looking south over the Gulf of Mexico from our Balcony...

The sunset over the Ocean waves ...

With the harsh winter weather back home in Canada ... my sentiments about winter at the Gulf of Mexico are very well described by the following  ...

Valentine's Dinner at the Beach!

Love was in the air ...

Our day was busy ... First with a shopping excursion to the seafood market to choose/ plan our special "stay at home" Valentine's Day dinner date!

We headed back to Buddy's Seafood Market

As a treat we decided that today we would order from the "Steam Bar" menu and neither of us would have to cook this evening!

What a great idea and we thoroughly enjoyed a delicious celebratory meal ... steamed shrimp seasoned perfectly, corn on the cob, new potatoes and a slice of Buddy's famous key lime pie!

It was a perfect way to spend Valentine's Day!

Gone Fishing!

A great thing about being so close to the Ocean is being able to get fresh fish at the seafood markets, and of course there is no shortage of seafood restaurants.

Luckily both myself and Msr. Honey enjoy most every kind of seafood.

Although Monsiuer does enjoy fishing as a hobby we did not actually work that hard to get the "Catch of the Day" for our dinner.

We walked to a nearby "Fish Market" ... Buddy's Seafood Market only a short walk of 1.3kms to get there and just around the corner from where we are staying.

Unlike the "Fish Markets" located at the Marinas there were no guards at the door hoping you wouldn't buy everything and there would be leftovers ...

Here we found a full service "Fresh" Seafood market ... with so many choices!

What will we have?

Here you can come away with all the fixings for a full course dinner ... today we only purchased two good sized fillets of Snapper.

We lightly seasoned the fillets and baked them in the oven, served with sautéed potatoes & onions and salad ... It was so delicious!

And the best part ... We had a whole fillet ready to use for our dinner the next night for "Snapper" Sandwiches.

Fresh air, fresh food ... nothing is better!
