Keep Calm, Fly to France!

Whoa! Slow down!
I can't believe what's happened this week.

Monsiuer Honey's spontaneity and his wanderlust for travel kicked into full gear this week causing a flurry of activity for his travel agent ... Me!

I knew some travelling was in the cards for the future but I thought we were talking late August and the Fall.

It was like following Molly's instructions (our GPS) with her all of sudden telling us to make a u-turn and going in a totally different direction.

It wouldn't be so bad if the time frame to departure wasn't so short.

On Monday night we booked our airline tickets with a destination of France, leaving next Tuesday.

Part of this adventure will be similar to our very first time travelling to France.

We are flying Toronto to Paris, spending a week in the City of Lights in a lovely rented apartment in the Marais district.

This is exciting as our first visit in 2003 was very short, it was a mad rush to see all that we wanted to see and do.

The other similarity will be the train trip from Gare d'Austerlitz to Cahors in the Lot Valley.

Let's see what else have I done this week ... arranged airport transportation, booked the car rental for pickup in Cahors, booked a two week apartment rental in the south of France (Ceret) and the rest is yet to be decided.

Our Passports to Adventure!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.

So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor.

Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Explore. Dream. Discover.”

    Bandol, France

One step closer to making some travel plans!

The postman delivered our required travel documents ... our renewed passports have arrived!

Now the fun begins!

We can seriously start to look at our options of what, when, where, who, why and how we will orchestrate this year's adventure.

It's time for us to explore, dream and discover what is in store for our next travels.

Great News!

After months of appointments with various doctors, many tests and procedures I've been declared "fit as a fiddle".

Without going into all the minutiae of my ailments ... all you need to know is that this is Good news ... no it is Great news!

It's clear sailing ahead ...

I'm off with Monsieur Honey to start planning our next travels!
