Destination "Destin" ...

One day we drove along the scenic Highway 30A ... checking out many beach side villages and communities.

Some of these beautiful places are deserving of a return visit ... giving us something else to do.

We ended up in Destin at the harbour ...

where we enjoyed a delicious shared lunch ... at Boshamps Seafood & Oyster House.

A most delicious "Grouper sandwich" served with southern slaw, hand cut fries, and a yummy green tomato chow-chow tartar.

Local Gulf Seafood Gumbo full of oysters, shrimp, Louisana crawfish, okra and sausage ...

This was before we decided we would try oysters prepared in every which way ... so we may have to go again another day to try one of their "Oyster" dishes.

So if you want to enjoy great food with views over the sparkling waters of the harbour ...

Be sure to visit Boshamps at 414 Harbor Blvd. Destin, Fla. 32541

Seashells by the Seashore!

Oysters, oysters and more oysters ... fresh seafood is so good!

I've never eaten oysters except for the smoked ones you can buy in a tin.

Here along the coast in the Gulf of Mexico there is no shortage of "Fresh Seafood and Oyster Bars"!

And there are so many ways that oysters are prepared ... we've decided / challenged ourselves to try a different type each time we go to an Oyster Bar.

So far we've tasted "Jap Baked Oysters " (my favorite so far) ...  Jalapeños and cheese!

Today we tried "Oysters Rockefeller" which Msr. Honey has eaten before ... these were topped with spinach, bacon and Jack cheese.

The establishments are as colourful as the dishes they serve ...

Can you see the $ Dollar bills hanging from the ceiling?

So how many types of oysters will we eat and how many different "Oyster" bars will we visit?
