The Frame Up (Couleurs de Mai)

#Cadre#Uzes#CouleursdeMai#Jamin#Artist

After looking at the painting in its natural canvas state for a couple of months, Monsieur Honey and I decided to frame our souvenir painting that we purchased in Uzés, France.

Several shopping expeditions later ... we finally found a frame that seemed to be suitable, however after purchasing it and bringing it home ...we discovered that it was slightly too large.

This resulted in Monsiuer Honey having a play day in his workshop ... sawing, planing and painting to rectify the problem.

The black frame is a perfect addition to David Jamin's wonderful piece of art.

So now we have an "artist in wood" complementing an "artist in oils"!

  1. Beautiful! You must have a large suitcase to take things like this with you from France.

  2. Hello Arie! Actually, the artist packaged and carefully crated the painting ...originally he was going to ship it to Canada, but we purchased additional baggage allowance and it flew home in the "Fragile" section of the plane and arrived in perfect condition.
